After eight incredible years, today I’m closing an important chapter at Scotiabank. I joined the bank to build the investment banking business in Chile from scratch — and what a journey it’s been. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built. Along the way, I had the absolute privilege of working with amazing people who, at different stages, were part of the team. Shoutout to every one of them: Oliver Witt, Ashwin Natarajan, Gonzalo Ruiz-Tagle, Vicente Castro Anich, Santiago Fuenzalida Spoerer, Paolo Puppo Caceda, Jorge Carraha, Martín Gajardo, Giancarlo Solari, and Pedro Pablo Gutiérrez. Thanks for everything! And a big thank-you as well to Jose Ignacio Valdez, Luis Felipe Irarrazaval, and Juan Carlos Cavallini — it was a real pleasure working with you guys. So, what’s next? I have a few ideas, but first — as some of you may know, one of my passions is sailing — I plan to sail. A lot. Possibly until I figure out what’s next… or until I run out of sunscreen. Whichever comes first.
