https://lnkd.in/es2ghDu | Landmark Tower ​(20,000M2 mixed-use in Chonging, PRC) continues our series of reflections on past competitions. ​ ​Due to extreme restrictions with regards to the building footprint, a cantilever was created that allowed the building to extend over the plaza through the utilization of a diagrid that would then become the broader expression of the form of the building. The intention was then to create a twin slab with an atrium and cultural forum in front of the building along with a rich array of uses ranging from corporate to retail. The cultural component and exhibition space were intended to bring the public into the ‘vertical heart’ of the building. ​ ​ #FGPArchitect #FGPAtelier #FranciscoGonzalezPulido
