Head of Generali Group Climate Hub

On Monday I had the pleasure of joining the 5th edition of SME EnterPRIZE. It was truly inspiring to hear the stories of the awarded companies, all driving innovative and sustainable business models with a tangible positive impact on both environment and society. (discover their stories here https://lnkd.in/d6hV3pXZ)   At the same time, Generali’s annual SME survey highlights a critical gap: 6 out of 10 SMEs remain underprotected against climate risks. While awareness is increasing, the distance between recognizing exposure and taking concrete action is still significant. Encouragingly, the tools to bridge this gap are rapidly evolving. As Stijn Vermoote from European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts - ECMWF pointed out, climate and weather intelligence can play a pivotal role in supporting risk prevention, enabling early warning systems, and fostering more informed decision-making. This is where insurers have a key responsibility: moving beyond post-event recovery to becoming long-term partners in building resilience. At Generali’s Climate Hub, this is defintely one of our core priorities. #ClimateResilience #SMEEnterprize #Generali #ClimateHub Lucia Silva Fabio Marchetti Jean Plattard Leonardo Meoli Danielle Imperato Michela Frau Alessandra Querin Eloisa Gattiglio
