🌍⚓☃️ It’s time for another exciting GoGlobal story! This time, our colleague Selvi from Jakarta, Indonesia shares her experiences from her three‑month stay at our branches in Hamburg and Nuremberg, Germany, as part of the GoGlobal program. Enjoy the read! First of all, I would like to thank Fr. Meyer’s Sohn for offering such a great GoGlobal program, giving employees the opportunity to work in another global location within the company. I started my journey at the FMS Hamburg office for one month, where I joined the Scan Baltic Team. The colleagues were very welcoming, and I had the chance to handle a VIP customer and visit Lübeck to experience the cargo loading process. After that, I spent two months in Nuremberg, learning about daily operations in sea import/export and air freight. It was very interesting to see the differences compared with Indonesia, especially on the operational side. I also had the chance to visit FMS Munich for two days, where I met very welcoming and supportive colleagues. I am excited to apply the knowledge and experience I gained there at FMS Indonesia. Beyond work, I really enjoyed the city, its culture, and the people. One of the most special moments for me was experiencing snow for the very first time in my life - it felt truly magical to see and touch it ❄️. Visiting the Christmas markets in both Munich and Nuremberg made this experience even more unforgettable🎄. Overall, GoGlobal is a valuable and inspiring opportunity.
