Think of your pitch as the trailer to a movie. It doesn’t have to include every detail… the goal is to get to the next meeting. Jason Calacanis’s framework for 2-minute pitches: → Get to the product in 15 seconds → Show, don’t tell → Synchronicity → Examples matter → One point per slide → Let your slide be your guide The Q&A is your last impression… → Answer questions directly → Know your numbers: revenue, margins, runway → Practice. Then practice again. Before you walk into any investor meeting: → Bring the positive energy → Set the agenda → Have multiple versions of your deck ready → Research your investors: Have they backed competitors? What do they care about? → Prep your questions and a data room → Follow up with something exciting (this creates urgency) → Never lie! Huge thanks to Jacqui Deegan for all your tactical insights!
