💬 See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil? – 𝗟𝗟𝗠𝘀 & 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱  Summertime is meetup time. Yesterday, the 𝗟𝗣𝟰𝗚 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 brought together researchers, practitioners, companies, and projects from the Berlin-Brandenburg AI ecosystem and beyond to address a key question: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗟𝗟𝗠𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘂𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲? 🌍 Covering topics such as multilingual and responsible language technologies, inclusion, participation, disinformation, diversity, healthcare, education, and AI transparency, the discussions demonstrated just how broad and socially relevant this field has become. The programme combined inspiring keynotes, elevator pitches, an interactive panel, poster sessions and many opportunities for exchange and networking. Special thanks to Daryna Dementieva, Hans Uszkoreit, Veronika Solopova, Theresa Zueger, Dimitri Staufer and Aleksandra Gabryszak for their valuable contributions and perspectives. 💡 We were also pleased to showcase several projects funded by the Bundesministerium für Forschung, Technologie und Raumfahrt: 𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗔, 𝗻𝗲𝘄𝘀-𝗽𝗼𝗹𝘆𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗵 and 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗞𝗜𝟰𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮 from the technology programme KI-Innovationswettbewerb – Generative KI für den Mittelstand.
