Fortum welcomes Samu Paukkunen as Director, Geopolitics and Resilience, starting 1 June. In his role at Fortum, Samu will focus on how geopolitical developments translate into real-world impacts on energy systems, critical infrastructure and strategic preparedness. In a time of increasing geopolitical uncertainty, energy security and resilience are becoming defining factors for Europe’s energy future. Samu brings strong experience from international security and energy policy, most recently as Deputy Director at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs, and previously from senior roles at NATO and within Finland’s national security establishment.   Welcome to Fortum, Samu!
