🧬 Day 2 in Frankfurt: Let’s continue the two-day conference “Gene and Cell Therapy (GCT): Where do we stand and where do we want to go?” After an inspiring first day, including a keynote by Prof. Dr. Carl June on advances in genetically modified immune cells for cancer treatment and the potential of so-called “off-the-shelf” cell therapies, we are now looking ahead to another day of scientific exchange and discussion.💡 We are starting the second day with another keynote highlight by Prof. Dr. Alessandro Aiuti, who used already approved treatments to demonstrate how gene therapies for rare genetic diseases have successfully made their way into clinical application. 🔬 Aiuti has received the Else Kröner Fresenius Prize for Medical Research 2020. ➡️ Coming up next: the European Perspective Panel, bringing together important insights and contributions from Spain, England, Sweden, and Germany. We look forward to another day of scientific exchange, inspiring discussions, and new perspectives on the future of gene and cell therapy. 🤝 #ForTra #EKFS #GeneTherapy #CellTherapy #TranslationalResearch Berlin Institute of Health in der Charité SPARK-BIH
