🚀 Today we are kicking off the two-day conference “Gene and Cell Therapy: Where do we stand and where do we want to go?” in Frankfurt. 🧬 The program opened with an inspiring keynote by Prof. Dr. Juan Carlos Izpisua Belmonte, who presented new approaches to cell reprogramming aimed at restoring cells to a younger, regenerative state — with the goal of developing new therapeutic strategies for age-related diseases. 🔬💡 Next on the agenda: a GMP Production Panel exploring key questions around manufacturing gaps, hospital exemption, and perspectives on in vivo delivery. We look forward to two days of insightful discussions, scientific exchange, and collaboration on the future of gene and cell therapy. 📣 Stay tuned for more impressions and highlights from the conference. The event is organized by ForTra gGmbH für Forschungstransfer der Else Kröner-Fresenius-Stiftung in collaboration with SPARK-BIH, the project funding program of the Berlin Institute of Health at Charité (BIH), as part of the National Strategy for Gene and Cell-Based Therapies. #ForTra #EKFS #GeneTherapy #CellTherapy #TranslationalResearch Berlin Institute of Health in der Charité SPARK-BIH
