Carbon-plated “super shoes” are designed to enhance running performance, but their structure can challenge how orthotics fit and function within the shoe. Rather than overriding the shoe’s design, orthoses need to work with it. Formthotics can be customised during fitting using heat moulding, allowing them to mould to the foot within the shoe.
