Imagine receiving a bill from nature. 40 years of clean water. 40 years of carbon storage. 40 years of pollination. 40 years of soil formation. 40 years of habitat for wildlife. 40 years of flood regulation. What is the amount due? Throughout history, ecosystems have provided services that economies, businesses, and communities depend on every day. Most of them free of charge. In a carbon project we develop that bill over 40 years. This World Environment Day is a reminder that protecting nature is not charity. It is one of the smartest investments we can make.
