The Ford team did more than just attend the recent Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) 2026 Conference in Washington, D.C. They really showed up – as experts at the podium, winners in competition, and company ambassadors front and center in the career fair exhibition hall. The keynote presentation, “Two Sides of the Security Shield,” delivered by Yasmin K. and Brianna D. members of Ford’s cyber security engineering team, was a conference highlight. They shared the stage with other prominent industry experts such as Bloomberg, Google, Anthropic and others. Yasmin, an EPEO security platform engineer, and Brianna, a cyber defense analyst, articulated a vision for a balanced and forward looking approach to how cyber defense and platform engineering can partner for success. Natasha Young, API and in-vehicle cyber security engineer, demonstrated the Ford team’s technical leadership by winning second place in the Capture the Flag Competition. The competition is an intense 34-hour race to solve realistic, industry-aligned cyber challenges. Throughout the event, Ford’s Cyber Security team and Talent Acquisition team engaged with candidates and shared insights on Ford’s evolving security landscape, culture, and career opportunities. On top of all that, the team built their expertise by attending more than 70 keynotes, seminars, and workshops and on subjects like vehicle security research, cloud and AI-driven defenses, compliance frameworks, software development, and leadership strategies. #WeAreFord #FordCareers #WiCyS2026 #CyberSecurity
