🔴 Ephrem Yalike-Ngonzo, journaliste centrafricain réfugié en France, à l'origine de l’enquête #PropagandaMachine publiée par Forbidden Stories et ses partenaires en novembre 2024, s’est vu refuser l’asile par les autorités françaises. De 2019 à 2022, il a relayé des éléments de propagande pro-russes en République centrafricaine avant de révéler, preuves à l’appui, le fonctionnement interne de ce système d’influence lié au groupe Wagner. 👉 Ses informations ont permis la publication de notre enquête reprise par plus de 200 médias et la mise sous sanctions européennes de Mikhaïl Prudnikov, figure clé des opérations d’influence russes en RCA. Alors qu’une intervention de l’Elysée au printemps 2024 avait permis la délivrance d'un visa et d'un laissez-passer afin qu'il puisse rejoindre le territoire français, le journaliste centrafricain se voit finalement refuser l’asile. From 2019 to 2022, he relayed pro-Russian propaganda material in the Central African Republic before revealing, with supporting evidence, the inner workings of this influence system linked to the Wagner Group. 👉 His information enabled the publication of our investigation, which was picked up by more than 200 media outlets, and contributed to the European sanctions imposed on Mikhail Prudnikov, a key figure in Russian influence operations in the Central African Republic. Although an intervention by the Élysée in spring 2024 led to the issuance of a visa and a laissez-passer allowing him to enter French territory, the Central African journalist has now ultimately been denied asylum.
