The Design: A process boiler is theoretically supposed to use 1.0 kg of steam. 2. The Reality: The data systems show it’s actually consuming 1.55 kg (a 55% overage!). 3. The Trap: Standard operations can easily identify 40% of that waste. But tracking down the remaining unknown inefficiency? You can't just look at a dashboard. You have to go back to first principles - Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer.
