Lidl GB is expanding its food redistribution efforts through a new partnership trial with Neighbourly and food-sharing app Olio, helping more surplus food reach local communities instead of going to waste. As part of the initiative, Olio • Share More, Waste Less’s network of Food Waste Heroes will collect surplus items from Lidl stores in the evenings, including chilled food, meat, fish, poultry and bakery products, before sharing them with nearby neighbours through the free Olio app. The scheme is expected to roll out across the UK by the end of 2026, supporting Lidl GB’s wider food sustainability and waste reduction commitments 👏 👉Read more about the partnership here: https://lnkd.in/eZMkR4yn #Partnerships #FoodWaste #Redistribution
