Embracing Indigenous ways of being, doing, thinking and feeling can help create healthier landscapes and communities. Dominique Chen is a Gamilaroi woman, interdisciplinary researcher and educator at the University of Queensland. She co-founded and directs Yuruwan, an Aboriginal-run not-for-profit supporting culturally grounded food initiatives by and for Aboriginal people living in urban areas, and co-authored Growing on Country, an online resource for enacting social justice through food growing at any scale. As we challenge the notion that sustainable land stewardship is at-odds with our community and supply chain, Dom brings her lens on the valuable guidance Indigenous knowledge can offer in rebuilding food systems. Join the conversation with Dom, farmer Alex Thompson-Welch and Vanessa Smolders of Healthy Land & Water this Monday 20 July. Only a few tickets left! https://lnkd.in/gnGFMdjJ The panel 'Healthy Country - for productivity, profit & people' is proudly supported by Healthy Land & Water.
