𝗔𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗢𝗹𝘆𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗻𝗱, 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆. When the Olympic flame arrived in Bolzano last month, Giovanni Sollima performed with his extraordinary ice cello, crafted from Val Senales glacier water and brought on stage with the Haydn Orchestra. An encounter between music, territory and the Olympic spirit. That evening reminded us how two worlds that may seem distant, classical music and winter sports, share values, discipline and the pursuit of excellence.
