In watchmaking, passion is not enough. To advise, explain and transmit with impact, professionals need structure, vocabulary and technical confidence. That is exactly what Virginie Deront was looking for when she joined the FHH - Fondation Haute Horlogerie Academy. With several years of experience in the watch industry, including at ROLEX and Audemars Piguet, Virginie already had a strong understanding of communication, image and branding. But she wanted to reinforce the technical side of her expertise. She chose the Watch Specialist Certification, going directly to Level 2 to gain a more complete understanding of the product: movements, materials, complications, technical vocabulary and the knowledge required to speak about watchmaking with precision. Today, she describes the impact clearly: more confidence, more credibility with clients and colleagues, and stronger arguments to support, advise and pass on knowledge. This is the purpose of the FHH Academy certification: giving professionals practical, recognised and actionable expertise to better understand watches and better share watch culture.
