FOSTERING ENTREPRENEURSHIP FOR A SUSTAINABLE AND INNOVATIVE BIOECONOMY
[Alumni Series] Episode #2: Aiganym Abduraimova We are thrilled to continue our weekly series by introducing a truly inspiring profile: Aiganym Abduraimova, a FOEBE+ alumna who is transforming how we measure sustainability in the bioeconomy! 🚀 🔬 From BioAroma to Deep Tech You might remember Aiganym as a key member of Team BioAroma, winners of the BISC-E 2023 European final. Their innovative work on sustainable rose scents from apple waste was just the beginning. Since her time with FOEBE+, Aiganym has taken her passion for "Sustainability at Scale" to the next level. After a transdisciplinary journey through AgroParisTech and the Bioceb program, she has become an expert in Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), the essential tool for proving that "green" solutions are truly sustainable. Leading the Future of Materials Today, Aiganym is a Doctoral Researcher at the Universität Graz, supported by the prestigious Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. Her current mission? ▪️ Developing bio-based alternatives to conventional fossil-based composites ▪️ Linking material science with "Sustainability-by-Design" strategies. ▪️ Bridging the gap between lab innovation and industrial reality. 🎓 The FOEBE+ Spark Whether she’s winning an Impacthon or leading initiatives for iGEM, Aiganym carries the entrepreneurial spirit we foster at FOEBE+. Her journey shows that the bioeconomy needs more than just scientists, it needs system thinkers who can navigate the complexity of global value chains. We are incredibly proud to see Aiganym leading the way in sustainable innovation across Europe! 👏 Our partner universities: AgroParisTech University of Eastern Finland, Universität für Bodenkultur Wien Universität Hohenheim Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego w Warszawie, Wageningen University & Research Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna #SuccessStories #Alumni #Bioeconomy #ErasmusPlus
