Powering the future at Loenhout: solar, sustainability & zero emission compression ๐ฑ At our Loenhout site, weโre taking concrete steps toward a climate neutral future. Last year, we installed 8,000 solar panels with a peak capacity of 5.5 MW. The East/West set-up allows us to spread solar production throughout the day - a more efficient way to maximise renewable output. โ๏ธ Instead of mechanical mowing, we partner with a local shepherd who brings a large flock of sheep three times per year. They keep the vegetation low in an efficient and environmentally friendly way. The solar panels were installed at height so the sheep can graze easily underneath them.๐ At the same time, Loenhout is progressing towards the electrification of all its compressors. Just before Christmas, we successfully converted our first compressor to run fully electric and started commissioning tests. Two more compressors are currently being converted, with the remaining two to follow, putting us on track to fully reduce compressor-related emissions by the end of 2026. Throughout this transition, weโre making sure that the availability and reliability of the installation always remain guaranteed. โ From large scale solar power to electrified compression, Loenhout is becoming a flagship site for the energy transition - combining innovation, operational excellence, and respect for the environment. ๐
