As we continue our #FluorFlashbackFriday series, we’re looking back at highlights from some of our notable projects. Fluor, having successfully designed and built the original Cerro Verde C1 copper/molybdenum concentrator in 2007, was selected to provide engineering, procurement, construction management, and commissioning services for the Cerro Verde Production Unit Expansion. Located in Arequipa, Peru, the expanded mine was the world’s largest one-time built copper concentrator and increased production of primary sulfide ore and copper and molybdenum concentrates. First ore was achieved in late 2015, with mechanical completion following in March 2016. Next week, we start our next Fluor Focus series on Fluor’s Mining & Metals business. Until then, learn more about this project: https://lnkd.in/et9nqQhX #BuildingABetterWorld #FluorFlashbackFriday
