As we continue our #FluorFlashbackFriday series, we’re looking back at highlights from some of our notable projects. On October 2, 2019, the Chicago Transit Authority's Red and Purple Line Modernization Program (RPM) Phase One Project broke ground. Since the project commenced, Fluor and its joint venture partner, The Walsh Group - Walsh Construction & Archer Western, have modernized and replaced over two miles of 100-year-old elevated track and rebuilt four stations into modern, fully accessible facilities. The RPM also includes the Red-Purple Bypass, a new elevated bypass for the Brown Line eliminating track conflicts and improving throughput for Red, Purple, and Brown Line service. In addition, 11 miles of new digital track circuit signaling have been installed, increasing capacity today while enabling future enhancements. In case you missed it, this week we shared that the RPM has reached substantial completion. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eDZkWV7s #BuildingABetterWorld #FluorFlashbackFriday
