🏆 We are proud to share that the DTEK and Fluence Energy Storage Portfolio in Ukraine has won the 2026 The smarter E AWARD for Outstanding Projects. Delivering a 200 MW / 400 MWh energy storage portfolio across six sites in under six months is a massive undertaking. Doing so in an active war zone required an unprecedented level of partnership, innovation, and resilience. To make this a reality, we had to rethink traditional deployment. Our team trained over 20 Ukrainian engineers in Germany and Finland, pioneering a fully remote commissioning model that empowered local teams to safely bring our Gridstack™ systems online. Today, this technology acts as a protective shield, providing grid-forming capabilities and frequency response to help keep hospitals running, schools open, and homes heated—providing capacity equivalent to backup power for approximately 600,000 buildings.
