The Simp Drive® drive regulates the differential speed between the decanter bowl and the scroll based on the prevailing scroll torque. This differential speed determines the retention time of the solids in the bowl and thus has a significant influence on the separation process. The bowl speed and differential speed can be adjusted independently of each other during operation. This is ensured by the special translation mechanism of the Simp Drive®.
