𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧𝐬 ☀️. Last week marked the end of my time at Eternal Sun. 10 years exactly I spent with this great company building the team and the business! When I joined the team was 18FTE, now 145, with offices in 6 countries across 3 continents. Business momentum has never been bigger. And despite geopolitical challenges and the very cyclic nature of this industry, we’ve been able to grow uninterruptedly over the last 10 years. This period was full of excitement: innovation, turnaround, growth, new frontiers, geopolitical changes, acquisitions … But I need new horizons once in a while - 10 years (?!) - to keep me on my toes. When our investors announced their exit two years ago I decided not to commit to another five years under a new investor. I led the search for that new investor and after a careful search process my successor was found, who started a month ago. Needless to say, I leave the company proud! There’s a ton of people that I owe a big thank you to for their role in this success story, too many to name. But very obvious Erik Bentschap Knook and Stefan Roest, together we formed a great team for the entire 10 year period! Thank you also Ruud Peeters Sjoerd Lincklaen Arriens Pepijn Veling Mark Derks Priscilla Lim Bastiaan Bink Johan Schalken. And thanks to our investors Michel Verhaeren, Thijs Nijland Pauline de Valk Pieter Smit Mark van Rijn Martijn Fakkert Willem de Rooij Bolster Investment Partners Vermec ABN AMRO Sustainable Impact Fund. What’s next?: I don’t know yet! It will evolve around growth and or change. I will first take some rest and I’ll be back fully reenergized! 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝!
