🎉 I'm happy to share that my first paper on MAX phases has now been published in Science and Technology of Advanced Materials (STAM)! 📄 In this work, we report the synthesis of the Cr2TiAlC2 MAX phase by reactive spark plasma sintering (R-SPS) using elemental powders. The optimized process demonstrates that R-SPS is a rapid and efficient synthesis route to high-quality MAX phases, producing dense materials with the highest hardness reported for a 312 MAX phase to date. 🙏 Many thanks to all my co-authors for their collaboration, and to the JSPS for supporting this work! 🔓 Open access: https://lnkd.in/gZjr76SF #MaterialsScience #MAXPhases
