π I'm happy to share that my first paper on MAX phases has now been published in Science and Technology of Advanced Materials (STAM)! πΒ In this work, we report the synthesis of the Cr2TiAlC2 MAX phase by reactive spark plasma sintering (R-SPS) using elemental powders. The optimized process demonstrates that R-SPS is a rapid and efficient synthesis route to high-quality MAX phases, producing dense materials with the highest hardness reported for a 312 MAX phase to date. π Many thanks to all my co-authors for their collaboration, and to the JSPS for supporting this work! π Open access: https://lnkd.in/gZjr76SF #MaterialsScience #MAXPhases
