We are excited to launch our new book, The Heritage, Creativity and Innovation Nexus: Critical Approaches and Interdisciplinary Perspectives, Routledge. Together with an outstanding group of contributors, it explores different dimensions of the nexus in multiple regional contexts. Each case study offers a distinctive perspective on the many ways heritage, innovation and creativity are governed, embodied, digitized, contested, and transformed. A key strength of the book is its interdisciplinary gaze and empirical grounding. From craftsmanship, post-trauma reconstruction, martial arts, and digital restitution, to authenticity, market dynamics, mega-events, creative cities, natural hazards, and Indigenous rights, the chapters show how heritage, creativity and innovation entanglements are deeply connected to the social, political, and cultural challenges of our time. The role of the state craft, geopolitics and intergovernmental dynamics also feature in several contributions.
