Counterpoint Research, in collaboration with Flipkart, released the ‘Smartphone Insights Report 2026’, showing how smartphone preferences in India are becoming more experience-led and value-conscious. The report finds that AI is now a key purchase driver, with nearly 9 in 10 users influenced by AI features. At the same time, performance, camera capabilities, and reliability continue to shape smartphone preferences across segments, as users look for devices that deliver stronger everyday experiences.
