25/02/21, Today In History - 'Poldercrash' or Turkish Airlines Flight-1951 was a passenger flight that crashed during landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Netherlands, on 25 February 2009. 👉Crash was fatal resulting in the deaths of nine passengers & crew, including all three pilots. 👉The aircraft, a Turkish Airlines Boeing 737-800, crashed into a field approximately 1.5 kilometres from Polderbaan runway. 👉Originating from Istanbul, Turkey with 128 passengers & 7 crew members on board, aircraft broke into three pieces on impact. 👉Primary reason of the crash was due to the aircraft's automated reaction, which was due to a faulty radio altimeter.
