Update: The Sunward SA-60L Aurora aircraft (B-12PP) is suspected of having turned off its transponder before impacting the CITIC tower in Beijing. On June 26, 2026, Dongshi Shuangyue General Aviation B-12PP aircraft, Captain Liu Junhua (member) conducted a solo flight in the local airspace. The aircraft took off from Shifosi Airport at 17:30 LT. At 17:40 LT, it prepared to return for landing. While joining the westbound traffic for Runway 18, the aircraft failed to join the landing pattern, deviated from the local airspace, and continued flying while maintaining a heading of 270 degrees. The local ADS-B monitoring detected the aircraft near the East Fifth Ring Road, after which no further signal was received. #aircraft
