A true pillar of our community, William George passed away unexpectedly on July 4th. His dedication has touched so many lives. For more than 52 years, he selflessly served as a Firefighter, Chief, leader, business owner and operator, and community volunteer. From 2002 through 2026, Bill served as a Director on First Northern Bank and Trust’s Board where he shared his leadership abilities and commitment to helping others. In the words of Salvatore Checho, Chairman of the Board, “Bill was a close friend of highest esteem and a dedicated Director of the Bank, beyond comparison.
