𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭: 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉. 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐲𝐚𝐤𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐫’𝐬 𝐉𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐦 Dr. J. Sathyakumar serves as a Senior Professor of HR at the Firebird Institute of Research in Management. He is a distinguished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in Human Resources and Organizational Development. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Madras and brings together a rare blend of over 18 years of academic teaching and nearly two decades of senior corporate leadership experience. His academic career spans more than a decade, during which he has served in key leadership roles, including Dean and Principal of a Management Institution. His scholarly contributions include research publications in reputed international journals, including Taylor & Francis, UK, and a leading research journal in Japan. He has also presented research papers at national and international conferences, particularly in the domains of Occupational Psychology and Counseling Psychology. In addition, he has actively contributed to Research Methodology conferences and has conducted Faculty Development Programs (FDPs) on “Outcome-Based Pedagogy” for Business Administration faculty members. Dr. Sathyakumar brings strong international exposure, having attended a specialized training program on Cognitive Behaviour Technique (CBT) as part of counseling intervention training in Hobart, Australia, further enriching his expertise in psychological assessment and intervention. Prior to his academic journey, he spent nearly two decades in senior leadership roles in leading corporate organizations such as Enfield, MRF, Ashok Leyland, and the SPIC Group of Companies. This extensive industry experience, combined with academic excellence, has led to impactful Organizational Development (OD) consulting assignments and the conduct of multiple Management Development Programs (MDPs) for senior leadership teams across organizations including TVS Tyres, Apollo Hospitals, HPCL, and leading textile manufacturing units. He has also conducted specialized training programs for School Headmasters and India Post employees, along with workshops on Managerial Counseling. As an educator, Dr. Sathyakumar is highly regarded for his ability to translate complex theoretical frameworks into practical, real-world applications, drawing from his vast corporate background to mentor the next generation of leaders. His primary research and professional interests lie in the areas of behavior modification, Emotional Intelligence, and managerial counseling, with a continued commitment to advancing human capital development through research, training, and mentorship. He is recognized by his peers and students alike as a dedicated teacher who prioritizes student growth and fosters an environment of experiential learning.
