Apparently I have opinions about Perth. Strong ones. This month's Australian Institute of Company Directors Company Director magazine asked me to be their local guide for directors flying in for board meetings — and I may have gone slightly overboard with enthusiasm. My picks: coffee from Telegram Coffee in the State Buildings and the walk to Kings Park Kaarta Koomba for the sunrise. Lunch at Kakulas Sister in Fremantle followed by a wander through the Roundhouse. Dinner at Il Lido Italian Canteen in Cottesloe while the sun melts into the Indian Ocean. A Swan Valley day with a tasting at Mandoon Estate and lunch at Homestead Brewery. And if you can swing it — the ferry to Rottnest, where the mobile reception is terrible and that is entirely the point. Perth is one of the world's most remote cities. Most people who haven't spent time here don't quite know what to do with that. I think it's our secret advantage. So thrilled to share it — and to be in such good company in the June/July edition. 🙏 Thanks Larissa Dubecki for showcasing my hometown! #Perth #AICD #CompanyDirector #BoardLife #WesternAustralia Rottnest Island Authority
