💥 Starter’s orders…. on your marks…… get set…… and go!!!!! 💥 After a thoughtful and genuinely rejuvenating period, I’m so pleased to share that I return to the market tomorrow, joining Specialist Risk Group as Chief Client Officer, reporting to UK CEO Neil Nimmo. What a pleasure to be returning to work alongside so many hugely respected former colleagues — in addition to Neil, Warren Downey, Saša Brčerević, Ian Cook, Richard Gurney, and many many others — as well as getting to know brilliant new colleagues, particularly Lee Anderson and Danny Harwood amongst many. It’s a small world in this village of insurance! SRG is an inspiring specialist business at such an exciting stage of its story. I was literally stopped in my tracks ( ‘lost for words’?…. ‘Surely not!’ those of you who know me well are shouting 😆) Hearing the firm’s brand anchors, I knew instantly my intense personal alignment and could feel the ignition of the fire in my belly. SRG offers me a unique and convincing personal opportunity: 1️⃣ Difficult. Done well. 2️⃣ Surprising. Strategic. Smart. 3️⃣ Building a business we’re proud to tell our friends and family about. I also must gratefully acknowledge the wider opportunities that presented themselves along the way. They were a real testament to the depth of thinking across our industry, with leaders seriously focused on future relevance: * Sharpening differentiation * Backing specialist capability, and * Deliberately bringing together diverse talent. You know who you are — I have been humbled by the thoughtfulness, the opportunities and the agility and pace of decision making. I am genuinely thankful. But, back to tomorrow… be warned SRG- I am super excited to join your gang! Energised, grateful for the circuit-break, and now very ready to crack on. Exciting times!
