Global Sustainability Senior Manager - Climate Advocacy

Chemical advocacy is a priority for Unilever. Unilever wants to scale up the use of fossil free feedstocks in our products. However, without value chain co-ordination, we won't be able to do this fast enough, or at the scale needed. Which is why we are looking at the next phase of EU industrial policy help solve this problem. Europe has led before by setting clear missions and aligning policy, finance and industry behind them. Sustainable chemicals should be no different. If Europe wants a resilient, competitive and lower‑carbon chemical sector, it should stop asking individual actors to move first - and start enabling them to move together. Check out Rupert Posner's blog to see what this could look like.
