A surface defined by precision, planning, and teamwork. Wilco Civil delivered a temporary field under some of the most demanding specifications in professional sport. Over the course of the build, crews worked 24 hours a day, moving more than 5,000 metric tonnes of sand, installing drainage and irrigation, and grading the surface to within two millimetres across the entire field. Multiple Cat® machines were deployed to relocate material, fine grade the surface, and hit final tolerances using smart grading and total station guidance. Two crews, two superintendents, and detailed shift handovers kept progress moving and quality consistent from start to finish. This project was the centrepiece of a major international event and a clear demonstration of what strong planning, skilled operators, and the right equipment can achieve. From mobilization to final grade, every decision mattered, and the finished field reflects that level of care and execution.
