Mining is a critical industry in B.C., and last night at B.C. Business House we had a chance to talk about what that really means for Finning and the customers we support. Kevin Parkes, our President and CEO, shared how far we’ve come in our products, technology and technical expertise. And the role our teams play every day to keep customers up and running, especially out of our Kamloops and Prince George branches. The technicians in those shops, in the field and on-site with customers are highly skilled—expertise that takes years to build and can’t be replicated overnight. He also spoke about continued investment in B.C. mining and what it means long term: jobs, infrastructure, and the communities that grow alongside the industry. Beyond the job site, Kevin highlighted initiatives like the Hope Truck as an example of how we’re making a positive impact alongside our customers in the communities we’re part of. The speaker lineup made it clear that B.C. is serious about where mining goes next with clearer permitting and innovation already happening on site. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped keep the momentum going.
