When individuals are looking for a hospital, they don’t search using medical textbook language. They communicate in everyday language. A regular database search will likely show zero or wrong results if someone searches for "my body is hot," "tummy pain," or "my stomach has been burning since yesterday," because hospitals list themselves under clinical words like "Infectious Disease" or "Gastroenterology." In healthcare, that friction can delay critical care. To address this, we just rolled out AI‑powered semantic matching (RAG) inside the HospitoFind chat assistant — a direct symptom-mapping technology that transforms everyday language into hospital departments. Instead of relying on rigid keywords, the platform now uses machine learning to understand the intent behind vague symptom descriptions and maps them directly to the relevant departments or specialized hospitals nearby. What this means in practice: Plain Language Search: The app can now correctly match common phrases and local terminology (such as "purging," "catarrh," or "apollo") with the right medical specialties. Type exactly how you or a loved one feels. The system translates the context, not just the words. Smart Scoring: When you search for "chest pain," the algorithm prioritizes hospitals that provide ICU, emergency, and cardiology services, elevating the best institutions to the top. It filters out the noise to pinpoint facilities equipped with the exact services required for those specific symptoms. Accessibility: If you enter a typo or a symptom that is not yet in our database, the system will never return an empty screen. It automatically converts to a general care search, displaying the closest verified hospitals to your location. It lowers the barrier to finding healthcare, making the system intuitive for everyone, regardless of medical literacy. Regardless of how you describe your symptoms, HospitoFind can now help you identify a nearby hospital that can treat you.
