FIND has released its 2nd technical deliverable: the specifications for the accidental instrumentation developed during the project. Many thanks to all contributors! Three use-cases are described in details, based on results of integral accident analysis codes (ASTEC, CATHARE 2): 1/ Measurement of the water level in the sumps in accidental conditions, 2/ Localisation of a breach in the case of a loss-of-coolant accident, 3/ Detection of fission products in the reactor building during a core melt accident. The next step is to develop and test the sensors fulfilling these objectives. FIND relies on the Ph-D theses of Ana-Maria Trofin, PhD (ASNR - Autorité de sûreté nucléaire et de radioprotection, IEMN, UCCS) and Juraj Kováč (VUEZ, Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave).
