🌐 Minister for Finance Māris Kučinskis met with Karl Nehammer, Vice President of the European Investment Bank (#EIB), to discuss their cooperation to date and future investment opportunities in Latvia and the Baltic region.   📝 The discussion emphasized that investments by the EIB and the EBRD are a significant vote of confidence in Latvia’s economy and business environment. The involvement of international financial institutions in financing long-term projects is particularly important in the current geopolitical situation and sends a positive signal to investors regarding the development potential of Latvia and the Baltic states.   🎯 The Minister urged the EIB to continue actively promoting investment, with a particular focus on economic growth, business development, and the upcoming European Union multiannual budget period. The meeting also addressed the EIB’s involvement in security and defense projects, as well as opportunities to expand public-private partnership (PPP) projects in Latvia and along the EU’s eastern border.   🚀 Both sides also emphasized the need to continue providing comprehensive support to Ukraine.
