A small thoughtful moment that made a big difference to Buckhaven Cosy Cafe Buckhaven Baptist Church SCIO Cosy Café provides a warm, welcoming space every Weds for 25 - 40 local people. Residents are offered breakfast cereals, tea, coffee, toast, filled rolls and a hot lunch - the menu changes weekly depending on donations. When the café’s ageing hot water urn became unsafe, the team posted an SOS on social media asking for emergency help. After a chat with the volunteers and encouraging them to complete a Fife Council Community Benefits Request Form, arrangements were made to provide a brand‑new free‑standing hot water urn, fully funded through supplier community‑benefit contributions. Irene also mentioned additional items that would make a real difference to the café and thanks to XMA, Alliance and Circular IT Group - and their commitment to giving back to local communities - they stepped forward with more support. A huge thank‑you to the Buckhaven Cosy Café volunteers for everything they do.
