FIFA Team One pays tribute to the city of Miami and its hospitality 🩷 With Miami Dade College as their training base for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, match officials taking charge of Uruguay vs Saudi Arabia at Miami Stadium on Monday, 15 June will honour the host city by wearing pink flamingo jerseys. The gesture is a nod to the flamingos, Art Deco architecture, and famous Miami sunsets that make the colour iconic here. Chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee, Pierluigi Collina, said: "Miami is our base so we thought it would be nice to show our appreciation for the city where we are living during the tournament. We chose this 'pink flamingo' colour for the refereeing team to wear for the first match here in Miami and it is also the colour of our training shirts. It is a recognition for the hospitality the city has shown us."
