100 LNG cargoes out of Kitimat in less than a year. Canada's largest LNG export project is ramping up fast, and the next decision could be even bigger. For subcontractors and field crews in northwest BC, this isn't a future opportunity. Maintenance, inspection, and turnaround work at the Kitimat facility are live needs right now. Companies already positioned in the region have a real edge. The bigger signal to watch: a Phase 2 final investment decision is expected before the end of 2026. If that FID lands, it triggers a new wave of construction, pipeline, and commissioning work along the entire Kitimat corridor. Getting on approved vendor lists before that announcement isn't early. It's on time. LNG Canada's throughput growth also means the upstream gathering and transmission infrastructure feeding the facility will need ongoing maintenance and likely capacity work, creating recurring contracts for mechanical and pipeline subcontractors across BC's northwest. Canada is pushing to become a top five global LNG exporter, and Kitimat is the project making that credible. Field service companies that treat this milestone as a procurement signal, not just a news item, are the ones who'll be ready when Phase 2 moves. https://lnkd.in/e_EW-2uR #IndustryTrends #FieldOperations #WCSB #DailyNews
