After discussions with industry stakeholders at several events over the past weeks, one question keeps resurfacing: what role can solar thermal realistically play? Across industrial applications, a few points consistently stand out: • A large share of industrial heat demand sits in the temperature range accessible today • Integration does not necessarily require major redesigns, as it can complement existing systems • Reliability is ensured by hybridization and storage • The real value lies in identifying where solar heat fits best and how to implement it effectively Solar heat is already a viable pathway in many cases; the expertise is in making it work in practice.
