City centre regeneration by bringing communities together 🏙️ It’s been such a pleasure for 💜 Bare Analysis to lead focus groups and ethnographic research into travel behaviours and place making in Sheffield city Centre. Supporting Steer and Sheffield City Council create a rich evidence base of user stories for an Access & Movement Plan. This work has also involved interviewing a number of Sheffield leaders about their views of the future of Sheffield city Centre and its regeneration. Ruth McDonald is a Race Equality Commissioner and Trustee at Sheffield Theatres, as well as leader at Sheffield City Growth. 🌱 Ruth talked to me about the importance of bringing diverse communities onto the High Street in city centres, and how joining up small events into bigger, more visible events for the whole community, can bring massive benefits.
