Each week, St. Mary's Food Bank and its partner agency The Singletons rescue food from local grocery stores, providing fresh food to neighbors like Hermie, single grandmother of four. These groceries carry more than food — they carry a promise to help end senior hunger. It's estimated that more than 9 million seniors may be food insecure by 2050. Together, we can change that. With support from the Enterprise Mobility Fill Your Tank® program, food banks continue expanding access to fresh, nutritious, and culturally preferred foods for seniors across America. “They’re actually a lifeline. They’ve really helped with groceries and supplies,” Hermie said. “We get fruit, vegetables, bread.” Hunger can feel bigger than any single effort, but not bigger than us together.
