🚨 No competitive industry = no climate, digital, or social ambitions for Europe. That was a clear takeaway from FEDIL Brussels Day 2025 🇪🇺, our biannual one-day visit to Brussels with a delegation of Luxembourg business leaders from across various sectors. Our purpose? 🎯 To strengthen the bridge between industry and EU policymakers, creating space for open exchange and aligning business realities with policy ambitions. 🤝 Our delegation had direct exchanges with: • Commissioner Christophe Hansen and other Commissioners’ cabinets & DGs • Permanent Representation of Luxembourg to the EU • Members of the European Parliament • BusinessEurope 💬 Discussions focused on three clusters: 1️⃣ Industrial policy: energy affordability, permitting, clean tech and decarbonisation → swift action to align the green transition with growth. 2️⃣ Trade and international relations: tariffs, trade defence, supply chains, critical raw materials, ESG and due diligence → open but fair trade, strong safeguards, resilient supply chains and partnerships. 3️⃣ Digital and Innovation: simpler rules, coherent regulation and network investment → innovation that scales without red tape, cutting overlaps and keeping what works. Across all themes, one message stood out: Europe’s success depends on a strong industry — and for this, we must act now. FEDIL’s members are ready to contribute constructively to achieving this without delay. 🙏 Thank you to all EU representatives and partners for the trust and openness.
