Attraction gets attention. Consistency builds companies. That’s probably my biggest takeaway from the open and honest conversations we had last week at the #EMBRACEFestival2026 in Berlin, together with experienced leaders - Claudia Tattanelli, Nimai Swaroop, Torgil Lenning - and a group of curious, engaged and genuinely inspiring professionals. We often focus on HOW to attract talent. But the real challenge is what happens next: how do we continuously help people reconnect with WHY they chose to be here, especially while navigating change? And this is where Employer Branding proves to be very much alive. ⚡ It helps build bridges across all the voices that shape the employee experience (Internal Communication, External Communication, L&D professionals, HR managers, leaders and people managers). It creates alignment around a story that is both attractive and honest: what we offer, what we don’t, and what people can truly expect. And doing this well requires a very intentional set of skills. ✨Listening, really understanding what people experience every day and what matters to them. ✨Translating, turning complexity into something clear, relevant, and meaningful. ✨Connecting, bringing together perspectives that don’t always naturally align. ✨Storytelling, making it all tangible, human, and consistent over time. ✨And creating urgency: through data, insights, and the signals (increasingly amplified by AI) that show us where we stand. But beyond definitions and strategies, what stayed with me most was the community. A group of passionate, thoughtful, genuinely kind professionals. A community we should probably leverage even more: for advice, support, and inspiration. 🌟 A big thank you to Gero Hesse for bringing us together, and to Sascha Huesing, Enno Schummers, Stefan Wagner and the entire EMBRACE team for creating the space for these conversations. It truly felt special. ⚡ (And to Kay Herschelmann, the person behind the lens, thank you for capturing these moments so beautifully 📸).
