To help women make informed choices about their health, an FDA study has found that U.S. marketed tampons do not pose a health risk from toxic metal exposure. The FDA has published results from a peer-reviewed study in Toxicological Sciences that provides women with the latest scientific evidence on metals in tampons.   “The FDA remains committed to protecting public health through rigorous, science-based oversight of medical devices, including menstrual products used by millions of women in the United States,” said Michelle Tarver, M.D., Ph.D., director of the FDA’s Center for Devices and Radiological Health. https://lnkd.in/gPpd5YCn
