🤖🔥 Mantis™ has completed its first welding trials. After progressing from individual components to assembly, commissioning and calibration, the first Mantis™ robotic welding system has now successfully performed its first welds. In this latest update, CEO Mark Pivac showcases several test welds completed using a temporary Fronius welding setup, including down-hand flux core welds, fillet welds and horizontal groove welds - some of the most common weld geometries encountered in heavy fabrication. While Mantis™'s final twin-wire welding systems are still to arrive, these initial trials represent an important milestone in validating the robot's dynamic stabilisation, calibration and welding capability.
